Eartha Hopkins

Content Coordinator

Eartha joined America Makes as the Content Coordinator in January 2024. She works to improve the public perception, awareness, and understanding of the Institute through the development of written content. With over 10 years of experience as a communication strategist, she brings a strong skill set in creative copywriting, digital media, advertising, enterprise journalism, and public relations. Her technical writing background spans multiple industries, including technology, healthcare, and business, with articles featured in The Vindicator, Mahoning Matters, The Business Journal, Women’s Health, and more. Previously, as the communications specialist for the mental health organization The Red Zone, Eartha led the development of its internal and external rebranding and marketing efforts. Within her role, she oversaw its communication and media planning, creating digital and print materials, including press releases, social media, and newsletters for effective audience outreach.

Additionally, Eartha served as a communications consultant, where her unique marketing approach helped businesses and organizations, such as The Raymond John Wean Foundation and the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp., leverage storytelling to drive audience and stakeholder growth and engagement.

She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from The Ohio State University.
