Dr. Robyn Vialva

Government Program Manager

Dr. Vialva is the Government Program Manager for America Makes and a Materials Engineer and Program Manager at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Materials and Manufacturing Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Before joining AFRL as a civilian in 2021, she worked as a research engineer in polymer and metal additive manufacturing for seven years.  She also co-founded the Southwest Ohio Women in 3D Printing (Wi3DP) Chapter and serves as a Chapter Director for Midwest SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering).

Dr. Vialva earned her Ph.D. and Master of Science degrees in Materials Engineering from the University of Dayton where her research focused on novel material development and characterization of high-performance aluminum alloys, nickel-based superalloys, stainless-steel alloys, and their metal matrix composites for additive manufacturing. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Central State University.
