Amanda Young

Senior Project Engineer

Amanda joined NCDMM/America Makes in June of 2023 as a Senior Project Engineer. She is responsible for project management, providing engineering design and technical analysis, along with process coordination and implementation development. She also supports project design and manages procurement activities.

Before joining the organization, Amanda was employed as an account manager at Rockwell Automation, overseeing System Integrator partners. During her 20-year career, she held various positions from motion control application engineer to manager of the automation department. She has worked with industrial-based customers providing turnkey automation control solutions. Additionally, she spent eight years at a private engineering firm as a program manager supporting multidisciplined ground-up facility design and commissioning.

Amanda holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics minor from Ohio University, Athens, OH.
