RFI: Advanced Materials Solutions for Defense Applications for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Research & Engineering)

The House Armed Services Committee FY18 Appropriations budget bill calls for DoD to assess current status and steps to address gaps in advanced materials, composites and manufacturing processes that will contribute to superior military performance, sustainment, and readiness across many applications, including air vehicles of all types, armor, munitions, prosthetics and batteries. Recommendations to improve the talent pipeline in the advanced materials and manufacturing workforce are also sought. To address this study request, the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Research & Engineering) is soliciting inputs from commercial and defense industry sectors and academia through this Federal Business Opportunities link.​
