Naval Horizons – Where Students Design the Navy and Marine Corps of the Future
The Naval Horizons video series is designed to introduce STEM college students to cutting-edge science and technology topics that impact the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps—to include autonomy, cybersecurity, undersea medicine and more. These videos will shine a spotlight on Department of Navy scientists and engineers working on unique naval challenges. We hope that their stories inspire you to picture yourselves in a STEM career.
Your challenge
Watch the video series, select one topic and share your ideas on the current state of the art and a futurist vision of the Navy and/or Marine Corps in the year 2040. You will also have the option to submit a statement of interest that we will use to connect you with one of our many Department of Navy scientists and engineers to learn more. Each submission will be reviewed to ensure that the responses provided are technically sufficient. Submissions will be evaluated on a rolling basis and the first 3,000 submissions to meet the evaluation criteria will be awarded a stipend.
