Position: Membership Coordinator

Position Location: Youngstown, Ohio

Purpose of the Position

Act as a liaison between the Membership Director and the America Makes membership community.  Be responsible for all aspects of effectively maintaining the membership, from serving as a primary point of contact for membership related questions to ensuring the upkeep of membership records.  Must also track membership figures and work in conjunction with the NCDMM finance department to report and reconcile information pertaining to membership payments and outstanding account balances.


This position will report to the Membership Director.  Considerable judgment and self-motivation is required to carry out assigned tasks.  Incumbent is expected to work independently of job-related responsibilities with general guidance and minimal supervision.

Knowledge and Experience

The incumbent must possess a strong working understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM; strong working knowledge of document consolidation software for efficient reporting; must have strong communication skills, reporting skills, administrative writing skills, managing processes, organization, analyzing information, professionalism, problem solving, supply management, inventory control, verbal communication.

The incumbent must have an associates degree or equivalent experience.

Quantitative Data

Respond to membership related inquiries, requests for information, and complaints. Process new membership requests, renewals, and resignations. Maintain and update membership records. Assist with member communication activities. Collect data, track membership statistics, and prepare reports. Aid in the development and implementation of new strategies to recruit members. Work with NCDMM finance department to track membership payments. Coordinate the revision of current and the development of new marketing collateral. Enhance existing and aid in the development of new events and activities for existing member and prospective members.
