This doesn’t just have to be magic in a fairytale. With engineering you can build anything that you can imagine.

Alice dreamt up a world that was fun, whimsical, and full of possibilities. She took her dreams and made them possible. She explored the limitless possibilities of engineering. She built a world that she wanted to live in, a wonderland. We want everyone to feel capable and inspired to build the world they imagine with the power of engineering.

Alice the engineer in Wonderland exhibit teaches how to extrude, emboss, 3d model, and 3d-print your own potion bottle. In a short activity, you can engineer something.

Rockets are being 3D-printed, yes you heard right. Printing makes it possible to produce custom parts which reduces waste!

3D-printers are being used to print concrete homes in 72 hours for the homeless. What a way to solve homelessness!

Organs are on the verge of being 3D-printed. Everyone can get the lifesaving transplants that they need! You could be the one to make a breakthrough!

INERTIA strives to intertwine creativity with STEM to create a Trendy experiences for kids. By changing the perception of STEM to be accessible, exciting, and relevant, we are encouraging more kids of diverse backgrounds to explore it. A girl who is interested in clothing and jewelry can come out of the exhibit thinking she should 3D-print her own jewelry. And she can do it because 3D-printers are affordable and easy to use, and 3D-modeling is easy to learn with America Makes resources. A crucial element of INERTIA’s identity is accessibility. During these exhibits, we have conversations to dispel myths about the difficulty of using 3D-printers, the cost of a 3D-printer, and how easy it is to start 3D modeling.
