Virtual Game Day: A Close-Out Presentation and Round Table Discussion on the Quality Made Program

January 26, 2022 | Categories:

Virtual Game Day: Office of Naval Research (ONR) Quality Made Program will be held virtually on Thursday, February 24, 2022

The ONR Quality Metal Additive Manufacturing (Quality Made) program will provide the Navy with the ability to rapidly qualify Additive Manufacturing (AM) material and processes for the production of metallic parts. Using modeling and simulation (M&S) tools and in-situ sensors and controls, Quality Made will enable cost-effective qualification and certification tools to ensure AM metallic components meet the repeatability and reliability of critical properties.

As part of the Quality Made program, ONR funded three performers, CTC, GE, and LM to develop these tools for a range of alloys. In this final year of the program, the performers will be demonstrating these tools on Navy parts of interest. This Game Day event is to socialize their technical approaches and accomplishments with the AM community and foster technology transition to the domestic supply chain.

This event will be held virtually on the Remo Conference platform to provide virtual face-to-face interactions just like in real life. Virtual in-person networking opportunities will be offered during breaks.
