Virtual Game Day: Steps Toward Qualification for Additive Manufacturing

Virtual Game Day: Steps Toward Qualification for Additive Manufacturing

America Makes will host the Virtual Game Day: Steps Toward Qualification for Additive Manufacturing on May 13, 2021.

Qualification of parts is the next great hurdle for Additive Manufacturing (AM).  Designers, end-users, material suppliers and manufacturers all have a role to play in the process. The upcoming Virtual Game Day Series, entitled Steps Toward Qualification for Additive Manufacturing, will bring together subject matter experts (SMEs) from Raytheon, Renishaw, EOS and AlphaSTAR to discuss how they currently address this challenge for themselves and their customers.  In addition, viewers will learn about new ICME tools that support AM Process Simulation and Build Optimization to provide a framework to predict build outcomes and mitigate defects in order to meet part qualification.  SMEs will be asked to share their opinions on the efficacy of this alternative strategy. In this manner, the discussion will be beneficial to all members of the America Makes family that are interested in qualifying AM parts, limiting trial and error builds, eliminating wasted material, and  reducing costs.

This event will be held virtually on the Remo Conference platform to provide virtual face-to-face interactions just like in real life. Virtual in-person networking opportunities will be offered during breaks.
