Forum: Expanding Apprenticeships through Apprenticeship Works

America Makes is collaborating with the Robert C. Byrd Institute to host a one day event to Expand Apprenticeships through the Apprenticeship Works program. We will focus on how to build an advanced manufacturing or additive manufacturing apprenticeship program within your company.
The day will include the following activities:
- Featured Speaker: Eric M. Seleznow, Senior Advisor, Jobs for the Future – contributing to Jobs for the future’s work on Registered Apprenticeship

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This event is ideal for employers, operations managers, plant managers, HR managers and anyone else interested in finding out what an apprenticeship program is, what it offers an organization, and what it takes to launch an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship programs help employers upskill incumbent workers and allow employers to hire unskilled workers and lead them on a journey to become a highly skilled workers.
This event is supported by the U.S. Department of Labor’s American Apprenticeship Initiative.
Parking at YSU:
Attendees should park at the M-30 Wick Ave Parking Deck (located behind Meshel Hall). Parking is $5 per car.
Parking at America Makes for Optional Tour:
Tour attendees should park at one of the ABM lots on the corner of West Boardman Street and Vindicator Square. Parking is $3/per day (exact cash only) in these lots.
Park elsewhere at your own risk. Parking tickets will not be paid or reimbursed by America Makes.
