Additive Manufacturing Workshop
June 18 - June 19
Join other government, industry, and academia/non-profit leaders participating in the upcoming Additive Manufacturing Workshop on June 18-19, 2019 that will be held at Lockheed Martin Global Vision Center in Crystal City, VA. Sponsored by DoD’s Joint Additive Manufacturing Working Group (JAMWG), America Makes Additive Manufacturing for Maintenance and Sustainment Advisory Group, and the Additive Manufacturing for Maintenance Operations (AMMO) Working Group, this AM Workshop is a follow-up to last year’s extremely successful Business Model Workshop. This year’s workshop will address five foundational aspects of additive manufacturing necessary for a DoD-wide adoption of this game-changing capability:
- Data Standards and Data / Model Sharing
- Qualification and Certification
- Business Practices and Supply Chain Integration
- Workforce Development
- DoD AM Policy Development
These focus areas will constitute the five major work groups. Each work group will be further divided into subgroups as designated on the attached file. When you register, you will be asked to choose your top two focus areas which will be used to assign you to a Work Group. Abstracts for the work groups will be posted on the website soon.
We are looking for government, industry and academia/non-profit to actively participate in this workshop which presents a unique opportunity for AM leaders and functional stakeholders to collaborate on issues that will allow the DoD community better leverage additive manufacturing capabilities.
