From technical project reviews to high-level conversations on the future of additive manufacturing, the America Makes events program convenes the brightest minds across the industry. We have three specific events that offer a variety of content and ways to engage with America Makes, the member community, and the industry.
America Makes Members Meeting & Exchange (MMX) is our annual member-centric event. For two days, the AM community participates in high-level conversations, presentations, and panels. The event provides strategic content and thought-provoking discussions from experts throughout the industry, government, and academia, to increase the adoption of additive manufacturing in the U.S.
The Technical Review & Exchange (TRX) is a meeting open to members as well as non-members. The event showcases the ongoing and successful America Makes projects portfolio by sharing the research and development of AM within our contracted efforts. Members/partners have the opportunity to host the event to increase awareness within their region and ecosystem by inviting keynote speakers, partners, and stakeholders to attend. This platform ultimately showcases the Institute’s efforts to collaborate, catalyze and convene the AM ecosystem.
Virtual TRX features presentations from our Open Project Calls or Rapid Innovation Project Calls. America Makes Project Calls leverage collaboration and perspectives from the membership, working groups, Roadmap Advisory Group (RMAG), and roadmap workshop efforts to create actionable focus areas to address the needs of the membership. Technical topic areas have been prioritized based on this input and span the five swimlanes of the AM Technology Roadmap (Design, Materials, Processes, Value Chain, and AM Genome) and also address the elements of the Education Workforce Development (EWD) Roadmap.
