America Makes Unveils New Website

The Institute’s Online Identity Reflects Convener, Coordinator and Catalyzer Roles
Youngstown, Ohio — August 15, 2017. America Makes announces the launch of its new, redesigned Website at http://americamakes.us that reflects the ongoing evolution of both the Institute and the needs of its growing membership community.
“Our newly redesigned digital presence captures the essence of America Makes’ evolving roles as an impartial convener of additive manufacturing and 3DP stakeholders, a coordinator of technical and workforce information, and an activation catalyst for innovation and research breakthroughs,” said Rob Gorham, America Makes Executive Director. “The Website redesign is just one of many initiatives that we’ve recently undertaken to ensure that the Institute remains at the forefront of advancing the additive manufacturing industry.
“From the visual aesthetic and ease of use, to the wealth of information, and revamped navigation, the new site further refines not only the mission of the Institute, but also our contributions to the industry and successful project outcomes,” continued Gorham. “I am confident that the new site will resonate among our public/private partners, our members, non-members, and our industry. Today’s launch of the new site comes a day ahead of America Makes’ five-year birthday. Founded in 2012, America Makes will commemorate the progress and contributions it has made to advance the AM industry tomorrow, Wed., August 16th, at 2:00 p.m., at its Innovation Factory in Youngstown.
“It’s a big week for us,” concluded Gorham. “It’s amazing to think of the impact that the Institute has made in the last five years. The launch of our new online identity is yet another reason to celebrate.”
Additionally, America Makes nationwide membership community will also be celebrating “virtually” via social media through the posting of photos or videos using the hashtag #AMfiveyears.
