America Makes to Go Virtual for Remaining 2020 Events

June 23, 2020 | Categories: America Makes News, COVID19

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – America Makes announced today that its remaining events for 2020 will be held virtually. Below is a statement from America Makes Executive Director John Wilczynski regarding the decision:

“While we all desire a return to normalcy, including in-person events where we can connect face-to-face with our colleagues, the health and safety of our team, our members, and all attendees is our top priority.  Therefore, after careful consideration, America Makes has decided to go virtual for all remaining events in 2020. This includes our summer TRX event hosted by Ohio State University, our annual MMX event in October, and our remaining Game Day series events.

The last few months have required all of us to think outside the box and look for new ways to convene, coordinate, and catalyze. The additive manufacturing community is at its best when we can come together and collaborate. We are confident that we can achieve this collaboration in a virtual setting, as we will be able to provide the same great content and networking opportunities attendees have become accustomed to at America Makes events.”

List of Remaining America Makes Events:

  • Virtual Game Day Series #3 – 3rd one on July 23rd
  • Summer Technical Review Exchange (TRX) hosted by Ohio State University – August 4-5
  • Members Meeting & Exchange (MMX) – October 13-14
  • Virtual Game Day Series #4 – Date TBD

More details, such as registration and program specifics will be made available for each individual event shortly.
