Youngstown, Ohio – America Makes is proud to announce the winners of the Open Project Call – Summer 2022 for projects funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Manufacturing and Industrial Base Technology Division. Driven by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), America Makes awarded over $1M in funding with at least $0.5M in matching funds from the awarded project teams for a total of roughly $1.5M.

Awardees were announced on October 19 during the America Makes Technical Review and Exchange (TRX) Conference held in Huntsville, AL. “We are excited to announce and celebrate the winners of this project call,” stated Dr. Brandon Ribic, America Makes Technology Director. “It’s always impressive to see our membership bring forth such dynamic and thoughtful solutions to advance additive technology and the industry. I was especially pleased to share this information during our TRX event with so many of our stakeholders present.
