America Makes Announces Agreements with Media Partners to Accelerate Additive Manufacturing Technologies

The Institute Enters into Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with The TCT Group and Digital Engineering

Youngstown, Ohio — May 6, 2019. America Makes proudly announces it has entered into formal agreements with two, leading media organizations, The TCT Group and Digital Engineering, to accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing technologies. The Memorandums of Understanding with The TCT Group and Digital Engineering, respectively, were finalized last month by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, which manages America Makes.

“On behalf of all of us at NCDMM and America Makes, we are very excited to collaborate with these two well-respected industry media leaders,” said NCDMM’s Executive Director of America Makes Rob Gorham. “The partnerships offer a unique opportunity for America Makes to further elevate our role as a ‘coordinator of intellectual capital assets’ by working with The TCT Group and Digital Engineering to build greater awareness of industry insights across the U.S. and globally.”

America Makes Membership Director Tiffany Westbay added, “The partnerships with The TCT Group and Digital Engineering have been a year in the making. The decision to enter into these strategic and mutually beneficial collaborations reflect our shared mission of promoting the advancement, adoption, and commercialization of additive manufacturing technologies. These two organizations will help raise greater awareness among our targeted audience all around the world of the mission and impact of America Makes as the national accelerator for additive manufacturing and 3D printing.”

The TCT Group, a Rapid News Publications Ltd company, delivers business-critical insights, intelligence, and inspiration across Europe, North America, and Asia on 3D printing, additive manufacturing, CAD/CAM/CAE, metrology, inspection and materials, as well as highlighting the latest developments in conventional manufacturing processes such as molding, casting, and CNC machining. The TCT Group mission is to accelerate the adoption of technologies that power innovation in the design-to-manufacturing process chain.

Head of Content at The TCT Group, Daniel O’Connor said, “The vision of America Makes is closely aligned with that of TCT. The sharing of insight across two of the largest additive manufacturing communities on the globe will increase the awareness of technological capabilities and, in turn, accelerate their adoption.”
