Altair Enlighten Award Nominations Due May 31, 2019

The Altair Enlighten Award is intended to honor the greatest achievements in vehicle weight savings each year. It inspires interest from industry, engineering, policymakers, educators, students and the public, creates further competition for new ideas in the industry, and provides an incentive to share technological advances. The award offers nominees the chance to be recognized internationally as a leading figure in the effort to reduce vehicle weight and meet emissions targets. The 2019 Altair Enlighten Award will be presented at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars, Traverse City, Michigan, US on August 5th, 2019.
The 2019 Altair Enlighten Award will be presented in four categories: Full Vehicle, Module, Enabling Technology and Future of Lightweighting.
The Full Vehicle, Module and Enabling Technology categories are open to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), systems/parts suppliers and materials suppliers from all automotive industry segments whose entry has been fitted to an automotive vehicle (motorcycle, passenger car, light truck, commercial truck or bus) in production anytime between August 2016 and August 2019.
The Future of Lightweighting category is reserved for innovative ideas, processes, materials and technologies that have significant potential to support lightweighting initiatives but have yet to be leveraged on a production vehicle platform. This category is open to incubator and startup companies, small-medium sized businesses, research and development institutions, universities and entrepreneurs alike.
