On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, America Makes proudly marked its five-year birthday with a celebration at its Innovation Factory in Youngstown. Both America Makes Executive Director, Rob Gorham, and Founding Director, Ralph Resnick, were on hand to say a few words about the progress America Makes has made over the past five years, as well as the much anticipated impact of the next five years.
The Institute’s membership community, part of the larger additive manufacturing community, joined the America Makes team in celebrating this significant milestone. America Makes Members attended the on-site celebration, as well as joined the virtual celebration through social media, using the hashtag #AMfiveyears. Here were some of the responses:
“It was awesome to celebrate our first five-years of impact at the celebration in our Innovation Factory in Youngstown, as well as through social media with our membership community and industry,” said Rob Gorham, America Makes Executive Director. “At the same time, we are very much focused on making an even bigger impact in the next five years. We have strategically laid the groundwork for the Institute’s continued success and have refined America Makes’ roles to that of convener, coordinator, and catalyzer. We are very excited for what the future holds for the Institute and our industry.”
