Cleveland State University: $5K Processing, Samples, and Printing

The Cleveland State University is offering 3 service vouchers in the amount of $5,000.00 each to the America Makes membership. The service voucher descriptions are:

Spark plasma sintering of metals, alloys, and composites: $5,000
Spark plasma sintering is high pressure/ high temperature solid-state processing equipment will be used for processing metal, alloys, and composite samples with high densification.

Metallographic characterization of samples: $5,000
Additively manufactured metallic samples will be characterized in detail via optical as well as scanning electron microscope. The samples will be mounted and polished using automated polisher and prepared for microscopy analysis.

3D printing via uprint, Fortus 250, and Objet 350 cannox 3 machines: $5,000
CSU’s center for innovative manufacturing has multiple 3D printers and will be used for printing plastic and multi-material color parts.
